Hello my ladybugs and beetles! ππͺ² I’m sorry it’s been a while since I’ve posted. We moved into our new house!! I absolutely love it. We have 9 chickens (we had 12 but two of them, Zebra and Coconut, disappeared π’). Very sad. Their names are Ol Red (the rooster π); Peanut Butter, Havarti, Cheddar (the blonde chickens); Waffle, Chevy, Nugget, Princess, and Java (the brown chickens). We were only getting 1 egg a day, but my friend Emily from Rooted Scribbles told me to try putting Cayenne in their water and ever since I’ve started doing that we’ve gotten 6, sometimes 8, eggs a day! Thanks Emily!

As well as chickens we also inherited a kitty! She is the sweetest cat. She actually enjoys being held like a baby, which is a nice change from our indoor cat who doesn’t ever want you to mess with her.
We saw our first snake! It was after it had rained a lot and i walked outside and there it was. It was really pretty. We identified it as a Red Bellied Mud Snake. Actually the biggest snake I’ve ever seen in real life π That poor snake, it probably hated us after we poked it and took a gazillion photos of it.

My room! We have no furniture yet (dressers, beds, etc) so we have been constantly searching for something. I’ve changed my mind about the loft bed, and now am wanting a day bed! My mom said i could get one of those and get some decorative pillows, and it could also double add a couch! In really excited about that.
I think I’ll end this post here, but will hopefully be making a part 2 explaining more things soon π thanks for reading and have a wonderful day!
Have y’all ever moved? Do you have any pets?
Oh yay! I’m glad the Cayenne pepper worked!

That’s so cool that you saw a snake! I’ve seen snakes, but they’re just the same old garter snakes. That’s great that you moved into your new house! My family’s moved a lot ever since I was little. Anyway, great post!

Yay! I’m glad you’re enjoying your new home, and your pets sound like so much fun!! I used to have chickens and they’re definitely the best pets ever! My brother and I used to train them to do simple tricks and a couple of ours were surprisingly smart lol
a day bed sounds really cool! I’ve currently got a loft bed which leaves room for my art desk underneath but if I had more room a daybed would be my choice!
I’ll be looking forward to seeing what all is going on (:

You trained your chickens to do tricks?? Wow. I should try that. They are awesome pets, and they’re so funny because they chase me around everywhere wanting more food π
Loft bed was my first choice, but I decided I didn’t want to always climb up and down the ladder cause I am super clumsy. I had to climb a ladder when we were living in the camper and I was always falling up/down it ππ

oh no! Yeah I definitely get it I can be clumsy myself as well. Only I don’t usually fall off, it’s more bonking my head on the ceiling, haha! π
Yeah, chickens can be smart even though they don’t really seem like it sometimes! They’re so sweet, I’m glad you enjoy keeping them (:

Haha, thanks! Yeah, my brother found that super tiny egg in some hay (not in one of the nesting boxes), we looked it up and apparently it’s called a “fairy egg”. So we got a super tiny one and I haven’t posted pictures yet, but we also got a giant one the other day.
