My Top 10 Kane Brown Songs: Part 1

Hey, guys! So, if you know me, you know that I. Adore. Kane. Brown. He has such a wonderful voice and a wide variety of music. He has fast songs, slow songs, upbeat songs, sad songs. He certainly didn’t have an easy childhood growing up. He was raised by a single mother, as his father was incarcerated in 1996 when Kane Brown was three. He was sometimes homeless until he graduated and moved in with his grandmother who helped raise him.

After his school friend, Lauren Alaina (fun fact: they sang in choir together when Kane was in high school, and later, in 2017, they released “What Ifs” together), found success after auditioning for American Idol, Kane decided to try his hand with both American Idol and The X Factor. In 2013, he was chosen for The X Factor but left the show when the producers wanted to include him in a boy band (Restless Road, which is a great band and I highly recommend checking some of their songs out. Kane did a remake of “Country Roads” with them. It’s very interesting). Kane has dabbled in country, pop, hip hop, and country-pop, just to name a few genres.

Okie dokie, now that y’all know a little bit about him, let’s start the list. Please note that these are in no particular order because, as usual, I simply cannot choose favorites. Also, this is just part 1, so I’ll only list 5 songs.

1. Leave You Alone

This is a really beautiful song, as are so many of his. He’s talking about no matter what he and his wife go through, he will always stick beside her, no matter what.

Favorite lyric: I know I don’t say “you’re beautiful” enough, but that don’t mean it ain’t on my mind.

2. Whiskey Sour

This is one of his newest songs. It is so, so, so very sad, but I love it. He just sounds sad while singing this song. It has really pretty music in it, though.

Favorite lyric: We were two heartbeats away from wedding rings and a pretty ballgown dress.

3. Hometown

Oh my goodness, this song is so cute! It’s really fun and upbeat, and I was quite obsessed with it for a good long while. He’s talking about no matter how famous he gets, he’ll always remember his goal: making his hometown proud. He’ll never forget the people who helped him to achieve his goal, the people who were there through it all.

Favorite lyric: All the whining through the years, all the grinding of the gears, all the passion and the tears, man it paid off.

4. What’s Mine Is Yours

GUYS! This is the sweetest song EVER!!!!! Ok, maybe not ever, but this song is just PRECIOUS! I apologize for all the capital letters but I really love this song to pieces. It’s so beautiful; the piano, the lyrics, just the way his voice sounds. Ugh. I will never be tired of this song.

Favorite lyric: Now there’s makeup on my counter, your shoes on the floor, taking my side of the bed and more, but it’s fine, I don’t mind, cause you changed everything.

5. There Goes My Everything

Just another sweet song *sighs*. He has so many sweet songs, I can’t-. Anyway. Moving along from my fangirling.

That’s all for this one! I hope y’all enjoy reading this post! Part 2 is coming soon. Comment down below whose songs y’all would like me to review!

Also, I really want to do a post where I take random song suggestions from y’all, and then review them, so please drop your song suggestions in the comments!

  1. I have heard of him, but never really listen to his songs. I shall have to do that sometime. šŸ™‚ As for song suggestions “You Were Beautiful” by (guess who!) Day6!!! Also “Never Going Back” by Skillet.

    1. You should definitely listen to some of his songs! He’s one of my favorite country artists (heh, if you couldn’t already tell). Thanks for the song suggestions! I’ll make sure to read them.
